WARNING: LINKS AHEAD! Does anypony here play The Sims 2? I do. I got the game(ironically)shortly before the release of Sims 3 and have played it quite often ever since. Recently, I decided that I HAD to make Sims versions of characters from the show. Thus, I present to you a mane cast group photo! http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/3349/manecastgrouppicture.png I know, I know, they're not ponies. I don't have the skill to make pony-shaped bodies. If you want actual ponies, contact somepony who does have the skill. In the meantime, here's some pictures displaying each of them individually. http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/5120/twilightsparkle.png http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/2717/rainbowdashs.png http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/419/pinkiepie.png http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/4534/rarityl.png http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/4264/applejack.png http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/5999/fluttershy.png I didn't notice that the normal map weirded-up Fluttershy's cutie mark like that until I took the shot on the right. Ah well. I'll fix it later. I didn't just make the mane cast, though! http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/4465/derpyhooves.png Hell yeah, she's actually wall-eyed. http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/5660/vinylscratch.png http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/6112/cutiemarkcrusaders.png http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/1351/cmccloseups.png I'm ok with Scootaloo's hair, but I did find one that I could potentially edit to make it more like hers. Unfortunately, it would involve mesh editing, which not only can I not do right now due to unforeseen circumstances, but also because I'm not sure the author of the original mesh would be ok with it should she find out. I'll take any comments or criticisms(which I have the right to ignore). Also, I will take recommendations for who else I should do. Currently on my to-do list are Spike, Big Macintosh, and The Great and Powerful* Trixie. So give me ideas for who else to do! *Title included to prevent anger toward me
Wow, they're awesome! Pretty darn accurate if you ask me, it's not like SIMS 2 is the best editor ever :|
SIMS. 2. YOU WIN. END OF STORY. (Though I prefer 1 over 2, because of the epic expansions it has. Makin' magic mainly)
Sims 1 > 2, but this is still amazing! Actually, I want Sims 3, but with Sims 1 graphics and style. Less processing to waste.
Well, I've never had Sims 1, so I wouldn't know anything about that. Also, don't forget I'm taking requests on who else to do. I'm currently trying to find a better hair for Spike(he currently had a kinda forward-brushed mohawk, which looks accurate, but it just doesn't look quite right), and he could use some more ironing-out. Once I finish him I'll work on Big Macintosh and the Great and Powerful* Trixie. I need more ideas, though, so feel free to leave them! *Again, title included for safety
I'd love to see Celestia. Yeah, a 9 foot tall princess with rainbow hair... that'd be awesome. Make it happen!
Sorry no, I saw the main cast first but went on my phone to post (can't see the images). Luna+Celes then and I'll be sure to grab a pc and check out 'My Sweetie Belle' :,)
Whoo, update! ... Ok, not quite yet. I've got them done for the most part, but I'm having a problem with the Princesses' crowns: they aren't appearing in-game! I went through all the trouble of making different custom meshes for them, too. I also realized just how horrible Spike's mohawk hair was, so I'm going to be changing it to a more generic spiky hair, which will actually be a recolor of the Sims 2 version of Joker's hair from Batman: Arkham Asylum. Once I'm done with that, though, you'll have more pictures to feast your eyes on!
Never played The Sims, but these are amazing! I think Fluttershy looks amazing and adorable even as a human. Rarity actually looks the most mature and Derpy had me laughing. The only ones I think look creepy are Twilight and the CMC. The rest are spot-on! Excellent work!
Finally, I've got an update! First up is the Princesses! http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/623/princesscelestia.png http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/1167/princessluna.png As you can see, Celestia's hair covers her cutie mark(since it's the sun, would that be an eclipse?), so I included this extra picture so you can see it: http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/5286/celestiacutiemark.png Now for Trixie! http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/694/trixiee.png I'm a little disappointed in her outfit: I tried to make it based off this image by Didjargo(http://ponibooru.413chan.net/_image...ittle_mages The_Great_And_Powerful_Trixie.jpg), but it just doesn't seem to have as much of a free-flowing, magical, razzle-dazzle feel as the drawing. Plus, I just now noticed that I forgot the gloves- dangit! It's a shame that I don't like the outfit, too, since I took the trouble of making a custom cape AND hat mesh! Oh well. If anyone can perhaps find another Sims 2 outfit that they think could be adapted into something like this(or something they think would be good for Trixie), just give me a link! Next up is Spike. http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/5619/spikeb.png You can see I didn't put all that much effort into him, but that's because I didn't really know what direction to go with him. Again, ideas on improvements would be appreciated. Last but not least is Big Macintosh. http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/2646/bigmacintosh.png I wish he didn't look QUITE so buff, but that body mesh was the least muscular of the muscular body meshes that I could find. It still serves its purpose. Also, just for fun(and to show an update), I have an Apple family photo(excluding Granny Smith). http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/9409/applefamilyphoto.png Ironically, since she's closer, Applejack appears taller than Big Mac, which we all know shouldn't be the case(the hat doesn't help, either). Also, you can see where the update is: Apple Bloom's bow. I was very dissatisfied with the 2D mesh I downloaded, so I made a new 3D mesh- with better placement to boot. I know the angle isn't the best to see that it's 3D, but trust me, it is.
These are all amazing, and I would love to use them in my Sims 2 game. Is there anywhere I can download them?
....Wow, it's been a while. Anyway, since the time I last posted on here, I got The Sims 3! I really like the personality implementations and all that, so I may play it more now when I get time. As such, if I ever figure out how to create for TS3, I'm gonna try to do the ponies over in that one! I may still create some for TS2 since I'm more familiar with creation for that game, but if not, then ah well. Also, @CarlosGM: Sorry, I can't put these up for download. I'm not completely sure if all of the meshes and such that I used are allowed for recoloring by the original creator, so if I put them up and they weren't, I could get in trouble. Sorry. D:
