    Wow, really thought this was just a joke... But it's actually real? o_O

    It was just so sudden! R/S/E are, to be honest, my least favorite games in the entire series, but I do have hope that they'll improve them for the remakes.

    Most of the pokemon fan world thinks we should of had it at least a year ago.
    I feel like it was ready a year ago too, but Nintendo wanted to make a big deal out of it.

    Eh. Personally, I don't see R/S remakes as quite as necessary as HG/SS were (most of the originals having been unplayable due to a glitch), so for me, there is no 'should'. They could have never made these remakes and it wouldn't have ever been a huge deal.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see them and will definitely be buying it day one. I just don't think of them in terms of "should", so I didn't actually even know whether they'd actually ever be made or not.

    It's really a nostalgia thing, seeing as most people who play pokemon started with ruby/sapphire.
    I personally started with yellow, but I was like... 5 when I got it, so I didn't really know what I was doing,
    but after that I got ruby and just like every other person my age, was obsessed with it.
    I don't have rose-tinted goggles to look at things through, but most people do, which is why remakes of those two were top priority in their minds.
