Squeenix has burned me one too many times on Final Fantasy. I am so done with the franchise. I just can't get excited. XIII was horrible, and they just kept making games in the series. Until they get my trust back, I'm just not going to love Final Fantasy again.

    I... see...

How unfortunate. However, I respect your decision and your opinion.

Regardless... I can't WAIT for XV. It looks absolutely AMAZING so far graphically and the battle system is pretty much like Kingdom Hearts making it even MORE AMAZING.

Square needs some time to recover from the age of Lightning. Also, I'm kinda excited for it but, there are more games I'm excited for even more than this one.

on a different note. I'll admit I enjoyed the first one. It has charm.
Out of the small group of frineds of mine that has played it I'm the only one to beat it.

I'm old enough, my entire childhood was good final fantasy. So I'm not as cynical as the many here who started after 10. I remember them makeing amazing games and I know they can do it again. I think XV is looking to be quite good.

I technically started when I was exposed to it from the cameos in Kingdom Hearts. That's how I became a Final Fantasy fan actually.

I haven't looked back ever since.

    I've played 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 13, 13-2, and 13-3.

    Eventually... I'll play 15.

The opposite for me, I got into kingdom hearts because of the cameos.

I was slowly introduced to the series by multiple people I played a little of several of the games before I actually dove into the series. I've only beat a few of them but I've had my hands on each one, except 5.

I see. I've actually beaten all of the FF games I have played. Maybe not "legitimately" but I still beat them nonetheless. I beat the FF13 series legitimately though. I plan to do the same with FF15. Especially since I don't exactly have a choice. lol.

some of them aren't so fun and have aged poorley. like FF2, I had no real desire to play all the way through.

my friend had a gameshark and I cheated a lot in ff8. no clipping in a final fantasy is the dumbest best cheat ever.

    that doesn't make any sense.
that's like, that dog always use to bites people... now I'm gonna assume he won't ever bite again.
if anything you'd be more cynical if they always did a bad job.

If you get bitten by a dog (named Lightning) three times, you're going to be a bit wary.

    of all dogs though?
and who's fault is it, if it bites you once and you go back a second and even third time.

I didn't even bother with the lightning returns.

Yeah that's pretty much what I used. Gameshark. Well, and CodeBreaker too in 10 and 10-2's case.

also pretty rad for getting infinite xp so you don't have to level up everyone everytime you replay.

I'm somewhat wary of this game because of SE's recent tendencies. FFXIII was a good game, but was so radically different from everything Final Fantasy that it felt like it should have been its own new IP. FFXIII-2 was okay, but had a terrible and incomplete ending that you had to buy DLC in order to complete fully. I haven't had a bunch of interest in Lightning Returns as a result.

A different team made this, so I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. I'm not too sure how I feel about an actual numbered Final Fantasy being a full-on action RPG. On that front, I'd have preferred it remain FF Versus. But then I said the same about the FF MMOs: that they should have been Final Fantasy Online instead of numbered entries.

I beg to differ. FFXIII was boring.

Okay? I can tell your opinion from the many posts you've already made in this thread.

I am a bit excited it's another team, I have hopes for that reason.
It's toriyama running final fantasy into the ground, not the whole company.
