Vampire lord and werewolf transformations are fun, but I tend to find with my higher level characters they actually make me weaker, so I don't really use them much. Lycanthropy can be handy if you want to move around in a faster (and more badass) fashion than just sprinting, provided you have Hircine's Ring, for unlimited transformations. It's not technically a better game, but Oblivion has to be my favourite. I'm not sure if it's actually the case, but it seemed to me there was more to do in Oblivion, and despite the slightly shonky graphics and animations, it drew me in more than Skyrim ever did. I think it's mostly just nostalgia, because trying to play it now it seems very outdated, and nowhere near as enjoyable as it once did; that's the same reason I could never really get into Morrowind. Plus Oblivion had the Shivering Isles, which was just the best, and featured the voicing talents of Patrick Stewart and Sean Bean, so I can't help but love it.
Ooo well u will be waiting a while lol that price won't go down for like 2 yrs..its fun I need to play it again..I've been on a B4 kick for a month lol its ok tho my character is lvl 17...ooo and when it comes to group missions make sure u have people that are higher than lvl 30 when u are still in the teens...also my character is a Breton the magical kind!
Not to be rude but ESO is not really worth my time. I cannot bring myself to play something so... tragically overhyped. It'd be a good game if it weren't for all the of the near Sonic 06' game breaking glitches. Not to mention the very broken, nearly non-existent group missions. All the enemies drop one gold and the bosses drop two gold. That wouldn't be an issue if they didn't decide to make horses in particular god awful expensive to get! Not to mention it tanks the possibility of any marketability for anything hardly. Just my opinion about it. Sorry if I pissed anyone off. I just am not fond with ESO, or any of it's shenanigans...
I liked Skyrim a lot; the graphics, voice acting and writing were a step up from previous games. The leveling system was nicely intuitive and the weapons and armor were all fun and intriguing. However, I have to cast my vote for Oblivion simply for the more classic fantasy feel and old school graphics with the nail-biting dungeons (zombies groaning in pitch-black caves give me crazy anxiety).
I wish I could run mods; pretty much the only reason I ever considered getting a decent desktop was to run modded Bethesda games. Although it looks like Bethesda have some how convinced Microsoft to allow mods on the Xbone version of Fallout 4, so maybe one day I'll be able to play an Elder Scrolls game with better add-ons than horse armour or the ability to run around trying to find corundum to build my own house
I voted Morrowwind, it was amazing / ground breaking when it came out, the combat system is awful but hey it was still fantastic!
Yeah, I played Morrowind a bit, and I couldn't even figure the combat system out. It was a shame, because I really liked the story and the atmosphere, but the gameplay and graphics conspired to stop me playing any further.
Yeah the combat system was based on a chance system, bit like a dice roll mechanic which just doesn't work in first person games like that, also the animations were dreadful, shame they never made a remake
Ohhhh I remember seeing that, that is an actual game? Will be amazing when it comes out! and yeah not sure if my PC will handle it, oh well always got skyrim
No, it's a fan project based on Skyrim. The did one based on Oblivion too, but it took years to complete, and when they finished, Skyrim came out, so they started again It's basically an extenision though, so if your PC can handle Skyrim, it should be able to handle either of those.
Awesome, I will keep an eye out for it though Skyrim has enough content, with mods, to keep me entertained atm
Yeah, I just rely on Solstheim for all my Morrowind cravings. It's the best we console gamers can get. x3
Soltheim in Dragonboorn broke my heart. After spending countless hours exploring the island in the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind, it hurt to see my beloved home-away-from-home in ruins.
Ah... but high definition ruins! Plus the soundtrack is great, and you have to admit the Red Mountain smoking in the distance is cool.
