So... Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix. I began playing it yesterday and played more of it today.

I took shield and gave up sword and started the Dead of Night.

I... end up not doing to badly. I even beat the first fight against Darkside.

Then I got to Destiny Islands.

For whatever reason I started sucking after that. I lost to Wakka quite a bit. Wow, I suck at this huh?

Eventually though I started to get the hang of it. After several attempts I was even able to win the 3-on-1 fight with Tidus, Selphie and Wakka.

I wasn't able to beat Riku in the duel but I may have gotten close. I'm not sure. I beat Riku in the race though. Yay?

Then Riku decided to RP as Sasuke and things got... bad pretty quickly.

I fight Darkside again and... win.

Then I end up in Traverse Town. After roaming around, fighting, I eventually face Leon. To be honest... I like Squall from FF8. Even though he's called Leon he'll always be Squall to me.

I was... able to beat him. Does this mean I'm getting better? ::S:

Eventually I meet Donald and Goofy (who are goofballs :derp: ) and I fight Guard Armor.

    I beat it too.

Hmm... maybe I'm not doing so bad. Admittedly though, I fought people on Destiny Islands quite a bit and I did a lot of fighting in Traverse Town to. I was Level 6 when I got to Traverse Town. Not joking.

    That may have helped. Maybe.

    Next time:

Will I suck in the Gummi ship segments? We'll see? ::S:

Feel free to comment I guess? ::S:

So Sora decided to get in on the 'RP' action and tried to RP as Phoenix Wright to prove that some girl named Alice didn't steal the Queen of Hearts'... heart. (does that even make sense? :dunno: )

I channel my inner Ace Attorney and go evidence searching and obtain all four pieces of evidence (thank you walkthrough). I wish for an Ace Attorney moment but all I get is a Manfred Von Karma moment where the Queen has her own forged evidence and I'm allowed to only pick one. :DFH:

Luckily I choose correctly. Those damn Card Soldiers are annoying as hell. But eventually I destroy the tower and win. Then I end up roaming around searching for a now missing Alice (how in the hell can some jerk kidnap her when she was up in the air anyway?! )

Eventually the Chesire Cat decides to RP as The Riddler and I reveal the Trickmaster. This one was also a pain but I eventually beat it as well. I'm using a lot of more items than I would like to with these annoying fights though...

BTW... I ran into my first 'Final Mix' enemy while I was exploring to. A giant Shadow. HOW IN THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BEAT THEM?! I can only manage to beat one.

Anyway I finish off Wonderland, restock at Traverse Town and end up in Olympus Coliseum.

To be honest with you... I want to try ALL of the cup (yes including the ridiculous Rock Titan and Sephiroth ones) but I'm starting to think I'm not good enough for that. I barely got through the prelims as I am currently. I did win though... so I guess that's all that matters?

I was even able to beat Cloud which also wasn't mandatory. :twi:

It's like... I suck but then I'm good. I'm just not sure I can do the cups. It's likely it won't stop me from trying though. We'll see. Give Cup advice if you feel generous.

Hades is a jerk and released Cerberus though.

This is going to be more annoying than Trickmaster and the Queen and her Cards... isn't it?

Next time: Will I ever start doing better? Personally... I'm starting to doubt it...

Again comment if you feel like it.

You know... the walkthrough I have isn't bad. However... it said that Cerberus is one of the easier bosses.

WRONG. He's not. It took me two attempts to beat it. Yes. I had to use a 'Continue' :DFH:

It's only my first one though. I guess that's good? Though I'm guessing not... :dunno:

But I won. So that's all that matters.

I restocked and did some extra stuff in Traverse Town and Wonderland and moved on to... Deep Jungle. This has made me remember that this is the only game Tarzan appeared in. It's not in Re: Chain of Memories or any other game after that. What happened? I think I recall Disney losing the series or something? I'm not sure. Reply if you know why Tarzan stopped appearing in Kingdom Hearts games after the first one.

Anyway Sora and Donald have a fight, I fight a leopard (which I kind of win easily by using Sonic Blade) and eventually the great is back together again to search for the King and Sora's friends.

Do you fools really think they're here? Ugh... [IMG]

Clayton is a jerk though. Plus that slide of the castle seemed to make Sora think it's familiar. I'm sure that's totally not foreshadowing or anything. :derp:

Next time: PETA may be the real life version of Team Plasma but they would be proud of what I'm about to do next. Which is save gorillas. From Heartless. :derp:

So... Heartless show up and attack the gorillas. These annoying things weren't here before. How in the hell did they show up now?! :DFH:

*sighs* Well either way I make PETA proud and run around rescuing gorillas and getting Gummis as my reward (okay seriously, how to FREAKING APES have SPACE MATERIAL?! )

Logic aside after I'm done I fight the leopard one last time. Sonic Blade abuse, and lock-on assist me in winning.

    Then Jane gets kidnapped. :DFH:

Welp, guess no game is complete without a 'damsel in distress' part.

I rescue her. Apparently it was Clayton. I find him and somehow he's controlling heartless. (AGAIN HOW?! )

I beat him and the dumb invisible lizard Heartless on my first try. I might finally be getting better. Maybe.

Either way I get thrown by a gorilla and eventually finish the Tarzan area and get healing and my first keychain as a reward. This will help no doubt.

Plus a mysterious gummi. Donald seems to think Leon will know what it is (yeah right) so I make my way back to Traverse Town and track him down while fighting new heartless.

He doesn't know. But Cid does (gee ya think? He was only a PILOT in FF7 afterall... :DFH:)

He makes me go on a delivery mission for him so I do. I'm also introduced to the Winnin the Pooh sidequest. Which I begin. Because why not? I've never cared for Winnie the Pooh but that's not really the point.

After doing very little with that which isn't really worth talking about I find Riku again and then he disappears.

Well... that wasn't suspicious at all...

Anyway the Final Fantasy people use a house in Third District as a 'hideout' (as Yuffie calls it) and I'm told to ring the Gizmo Shop bell three times to see what happens. BECAUSE I'M SURE THAT WON'T CAUSE A HUGE MONSTER TO SHOW UP.

    Next time:

Will I beat Opposite Armor on my first try? I guess we'll find out.

Plus maybe the Phil Cup. Can I succeed in that too? We'll see...

    RING.

    RING.

    RING.

    Me: Hello?

Opposite Armor: Hi. My name is Opposite Armor. I'm here to KEEL you. :trollestia:

    Me: :DFH:

    I know. That was a crap mini-RP.

Anyway I had to use my new Cure a few times but I beat Opposite Armor on my first try.

Then I tried the Phil Cup.

Things got edgy there too but I was able to win that too.

It's possible I might be better than I seem to think I am. :derp:

I also started Agrabah. I meet Jasmine WHO I'M TOTALLY SURE WON'T BE KIDNAPPED AT THE END OF THIS WORLD  and I also eventually meet Aladdin and Genie.

R.I.P. Robin Williams (even though he didn't do Genie's voice in the games... but still... may you rest in peace  )

Jafar is a jerk. These Disney villains collaborating reminds me of the Legion of Doom. Which may actually become reality in live-action form if there's ever a live action Justice League movie (Please Zack Snyder?)

That's really all I have to report. Not much to say really. I might be better than I seem to think I am.

    Next time:

Pot Centipede and Living Cave of Wonders entrance. Will these bosses be conquered as well? We'll see.

Your right. This guy instead is Dan Castellaneta. Or the Voice of Homer Simpson. Now you know that, you cannot stop hearing it.

Still, just wait until Re-Chain. Oh boy...

I'm currently ploughing though the second HD Remix right now. So, good luck.

I had a few close calls with Pot Centipede but I won. Also... Living Cave of Wonders took WAY TO LONG. It's hard to jump on it's head just to get close enough to attack the eyes.

With persistence I eventually win that too. I explore Cave of Wonders, fighting and falling until I confront Jafar.

I SAW YOU THERE MALEFICENT. I'LL DEAL WITH YOU IN HOLLOW BASTION.

He was... actually pathetically easy. Genie was funny trying to fight us but also shouting random warnings like "Look out!!"

Again I really don't know what else to say here. Agrabah is just... well... Agrabah. :dunno:

I'm starting to get better though. Plus... Gravity is BEAST. Plus I have Stun Impact. This makes battles relatively easy for the most part.

My only death in this game so far is still just to Cerberus.

    Yeah. I think I'm getting better. :smile2:

    Next time:

How to beat an evil genie. Strike his pet parrot who's holding his lamp!!

Genie Jafar. Relatively simple for the most part. As stated in the last part all you have to do is strike Iago (whose holding his lamp) and keep doing that until you win.

Jasmine gets kidnapped. YEAH. TOTATALLY DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING.

Aladdin wants to come with us but can't so the now-freed Genie does instead (as a summon obviously).

I do sidequest stuff after this and unlock more trinities and do some more 100 Acre Wood as Pooh gets in his airbrained head that using a balloon to get honey from a tree, in which the bees will OBVIOUSLY try to stop him, is a good idea. :DFH:

So I reluctantly help him out and get the Bambi summon as a reward (yay? :dunno:)

Then I move on and the Gummi Ship gets SWALLOWED BY A FREAKING WHALE WHICH IS SOMEHOW SWIMMING IN SPACE. o_O

Welp... I guess I need to stop questioning this stuff. It'll just give me a headache.

Anyway somehow Pinocchio got from Traverse Town to inside Monstro in a matter of only a few moments.

    *sighs*

Don't question... don't question it...

    I vaguely see Riku too.

I remember this from the first time I played this game. This isn't going to go well.

    Next time:

    Riku literally becomes Sasuke. :sigh:

(P.S. If you don't know who I'm talking about, I'm talking about Sasuke Uchiha from the Naruto series. If you're curious enough you can look up his information via Google or a Naruto wiki if you're so inclined too)

Monstro battle theme best song in the game.

I suppose. I'm sure that'll change when I get to Re: Chain of Memories though.

Plus, I kind of wanted to try the optional bosses. Like Sephiroth. And Kurt Zisa. And Phantom.

Is that a foolish mistake? :dunno:

    Anyway...

I explore the inside of Monstro (eww...) until I catch up to Riku and Pinocchio. Eventually Pinocchio screams.

    Great. Now what?

    Oh. Just Parasite Cage. Wonderful.

With Riku's help, magic, and lots of healing, I win.

However, Riku kidnaps Pinocchio and also reveals that Kairi has lost her heart somehow (I'll be honest with you. I know what the situation is here because I'm familiar with the series.)

That aside though, this guy has taken a level in dumb. How is that going to save Kairi?! :DFH:

    *sighs*

I chase Riku with help from the newly obtained High Jump and eventually Sora thinks Riku is on the wrong side.

GEE. TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH TO FIGURE THAT OUT. :pff:

I fight Parasite Cage AGAIN. It was annoying but I was able to come out victorious here too. Riku runs away THROUGH A PORTAL OF DARKNESS (Yup, totally Sasuke) and I escape Monstro.

Then I go on another sidequest binge. I get a few new Keychains and do some more 100 Acre Wood.

Tigger... you have ADD. They have medicine for that now you know... ::S:

So after doing the annoying Tigger mini game until I get the required high score (Which is 150+) I finish up with that temporarily. Mostly because I've been keeping up with the Dalmation sidequest and I might be getting another Torn Page soon. Hopefully. :dunno:

That's all for now I suppose.

    Next time:

Possibly more of 100 Acre Wood and maybe Pegasus Cup.

Will I be able to win Pegasus Cup? Well... I'm a persistent kind of person. We'll see if I can do it on my first try though... ::S:

    Sidequests ahoy!! Or something.

Fought some secret heartless to get them in Jiminy's Journal. Couldn't hit Grand Ghost with Megaelixir. I'll come back for you... annoying ghost.

Got another Torn Page from the Dalmations so I did more 100 Acre Wood again.

Once again... Eeyore... there is medicine to help with depression... :dunno:

I push Pooh on a swing. Oh what fun... (what did I just say?)

I exceed 40m first for the required high score then do it properly to find Eeyore's tail. I get a Stop upgrade for my troubles.

    Sure. I'll take it.

I took on the Pegasus Cup next. I had a heal a few times but I got to the finals against Leon & Yuffie.

I beat on Yuffie until she fell unconscious and then beat on Leon until the same happened to him.

    Pegasus Cup achieved. :twi:

Then... I began what's the most annoying world in the whole game...

    Atlantica.

Why? Why did they do this? :DFH:

BTW... in case anyone cares... I'm getting pretty close to the point where I quit the game and started cheating. I played it legitimately back when I first got it on the PS2 but I could never beat Giant Ursula. I eventually gave up and resorted to cheating.

I was a dumb kid back then. But the fact remains I've never gotten past Giant Ursula without cheating. Will I this time?

    Well... I don't know... :dunno:

    Next time:

Under the Sea... Under the Sea...

    NO. JUST NO. [IMG]

Can I get past the most annoying world in the game without a death?

I kind of doubt it but we'll see? :dunno:

The walkthrough I'm using claims you can one-shot kill it with a Megaelixir. I kept trying but it kept hitting me. Try that maybe?

    Anyway...

I learn how to swim. Because apparently I didn't know how to before? :sigh:

    Then heartless. Goodie.

I go around opening clam treasure chests, exploring and fighting until I eventually make it to King Triton's Palace.

The idiots slip that they're trying to find the Keyhole. You know... you could of just said something else and looked for it secretly... ::S:

Triton gets angry. Ariel gets angry in return. Quite the family they are aren't they? :derp:

Eventually I find a sunken ship and explore.

    THE JAWS COMETH.

When did I start playing Jaws? :dunno:

I fight the shark and whack it until it falls unconscious.

I also find a Crystal ornament that looks like something that would fit in Ariel's Grotto. So we try to fit it. Until Triton comes in and destroys it. THANKS FOR BEING A TATTLETALE SEBASTIAN.

Triton figures out that Sora and co. are from another world. Yeah. Because the KEYBLADE didn't make it obvious enough. :sigh:

Ursula manipulates Ariel into convincing her to let her get Triton's trident (Well at least his name makes sense now...)

    GOOD JOB ARIEL. :DFH:

That was all I was able to do. Despite the annoying controls I'm still doing okay. Who knows how long that will last though.

    Next time:

The moment of truth... the Ursula battles. Will I come out victorious? Or will I give up like I did when I first tried to play this game legitimately?

Well... I've become pretty persistent when it comes to video games... so... you know...

We'll see how long it takes me/how many attempts it takes me though...

I fight Ursula. It's really annoying. But with persistency, healing, whacking eels, and using magic on a cauldron, I come out victorious.

Then... the moment of truth... the battle I was unable to win when I first tried to play KH1 legitimately. Giant Ursula.

Hello The Deep End. It's good to hear you again. Now... HAVE AT THEE!!!

What's that? You want to know the results and how many attempts it took me... well...

I DID IT. I WON. ON MY FIRST TRY.

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

*does the THIS IS THE FARTHEST I'VE GOTTEN IN KH1 LEGITIMATELY DANCE*

With that out of the way... I do more 100 Acre Wood because I got another Torn Page.

The nut mini game was a pain but I got the required high score thanks to persistency once again. I also got A LOT of good items by giving nuts to Owl (not joking ::S: )

I decided to try Phil Cup alone since the reward was Combo Plus. Which I thought would help me in later battles. I won relatively easily really.

    Then I started Halloween Town.

    So spoopy.

WHY DID I SAY THAT?! :DFH:

What does that even mean anyway? Did some idiot just misspell "spooky" and then people started using the misspelling? That's makes no sense whatsoever.

    Memes aside...

The Heartless appear... but... don't attack. HOW DID THEY CONTROL THEM?!

Apparently Sora unlocks some weird "locked" heart container.

To be honest... I kind of want to see the Heartless dance too...

*plays the P4 Dancing All Night theme*

    *coughs*

Anyway... the experiment backfires and heartless fighting begins once again. That... didn't last long... :pff:

For some reason... I really like the Halloween Town battle theme. :twi:

Music aside, I get a Forget-Me-Not from Sally after fighting more Heartless and deliver it. Now apparently I need "surprise"

Yeah... this world makes no sense but at least the battle theme is good? :sigh:

    Next time:

Will the Heartless dance? Probably not.

Oh. And Oogie Boogie. Or something.

I get the "surprise" and deliver it. Only for a bunch of brats to steal it. Great. :DFH:

I chase them to Oogie Boogie's manor and eventually end up fighting them.

Ah yes. Assaulting children. Just what I've always wanted... :zebra: (I'm kidding... sort of...)

After beating them down, the discovery is made that they've already given the heart to the weird bag guy (Oogie Boogie)

I track him down and fight him. It's... relatively easy. However, he somehow comes back to life and takes the form of HIS WHOLE FREAKING MANOR.

Well... um... this is bad... right?

    lolnope.

The Oogie Manor fight is relatively simple as well. I seal the keyhole and I'm already finished with Halloween Town. Too bad... :(

I also finish the 100 Acre Wood sidequest by doing what was pretty much a hide-and-seek mini game. It only takes me two attempts to get the required high score. Book keyhole sealed as well.

I'm even able to get rid of annoying Grand Ghost too. Thank you Megaelixir. :smile2:

But Chimera... UGH. These secret heartless are starting to get annoying. I'm starting to think I won't be unlocking any secret movies.

*sighs* Oh well. I guess... :dunno:

I begin Neverland and I'm forced onto a pirate ship which is defying physics like Monstro did and FLYING THROUGH SPACE. o_O

I also run into Riku again with a motionless Kairi. Riku is full-on Sasuke now. Fine. Act like Sasuke... I SHALL TREAT YOU LIKE SASUKE.

Sora then reunites with Donald and Goofy and meets Peter Pan. That was all I was able to do.

    Next time:

Anti-Sora. Because that makes sense. Or something. Maybe Hook too? :dunno:

I escape and Anti-Sora makes his appearance. He's quite annoying to deal with and he laughs when he hits you. I'LL GET YOU YOU FAKE.

I find Wendy and Kairi is with her... being motionless. Or is she? She moves a little... TOTALLY NOT FORESHADOWING I'M SURE. ::S:

Eventually I catch up to Riku and he takes Kairi through a portal of darkness. Yeah... you just keep on being Sasuke... :DFH:

I finally fight Anti-Sora. The boss is annoying but healing and Aero and endurance help me come out victorious.

    WTF? WHY DIDN'T I GET A PERSONA?! o_O

    Oh... wait...

    :derp:

    Anyway...

Wendy is rescued and Peter Pan leaves. GEE THANKS.

Hook is confronted. He somehow captured Tinker Bell and forces us to not fight. Sora walks the plank and JUMPS OFF.

    GAME OVER.

    loljustkidding

    He flies. WAIT WHAT?!

This eventually leads to the Hook boss fight. Again it's annoying, but flying away from attacks is too easy and too easy to abuse. :derp:

Endurance is key once again but eventually I take down Hook as well.

We go to a huge Big Ben clock tower and strike the clock until it reads midnight and the Keyhole appears and is then locked.

    Hmm... short world... :dunno:

But now... it's time to make some preparations for what's likely the hardest world in the game. Not just due to the bosses. But even the heartless are hard at times.

    HOLLOW BASTION.

I think my streak of my only death being to Cerberus will be coming to an end soon...

I'll fight as much as I can though. Besides, I can get more treasures with Glide now and Hercules cup is available too. That will be my Hollow Bastion preparation.

Will it be enough? We shall see... :dunno:

    Next time:

Hercules cup, treasure chest cleanup, trinity cleanup, and more Hollow Bastion preparation.

If I'm able to get all of that done maybe the start of Hollow Bastion too. We'll see. :dunno:

After Neverland stuff I immediately head to the Coliseum to do Hercules Cup. It's a little tough but I'm able to make it to the finals where Sora wants to fight Hercules one-on-one.

    *sighs*

I really didn't have a say in the matter...

The Hercules fight is annoying but I come out victorious and get numerous rewards for it. One of which allows me to lock the keyhole for Olympus Coliseum.

I then proceed to get some more treasure chests and unlock more trinities now that I have Glide and Yellow Trinity.

It really doesn't take me very long... so...

HOLLOW BASTION HERE I COME.

I arrive and Sora gets a warm sensation from his heart. ONCE AGAIN I'M SURE THAT'S TOTALLY NOT FORESHADOWING. o_O

I get some treasure chests first before making my way up numerous pillars. Where I find... Beast. Who somehow got from his destroyed home to Hollow Bastion through sheer force of will and belief alone.

    That's... pretty awesome. :twi:

Anyway... Riku continues to act like Sasuke and the jerk FREAKING STEALS SORA'S KEYBLADE.

Oh wonderful. How the hell am I suppose to fight now?! To make things worse... Donald and Goofy leave me and I'm stuck with the Beast as my only party member.

This is bad... isn't it...?

Well... maybe not. For the most part Beast handles most of the enemies as I try to solve puzzles just so I can enter the freaking Hollow Bastion castle.

Plus... I still have my magic... so... I end up still being just fine.

Anyway... I enter the castle and Beast leaves me because a Shadow Heartless made him angry by showing him a Belle illusion.
THIS JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER.

Riku prepares to and pretty much attempts to MURDER Sora before Goofy interjects.

    THANK YOU. :D

I finally get my chance to fight Mr. Jerk-Who-Wants-To-Act-Like-Sasuke (Riku) after I get the Keyblade back and Donald and Goofy wise up and rejoin me.

You see... before I did this fight... I removed that Cloud move I got from the Coliseum and replaced it with Ars Arcanum. BOY THAT WAS A SMART DECISION.

That helped quite a bit. Honestly though... the fight wasn't really all that difficult though. I didn't even have to heal once.

    You suck Riku-Sasuke. :derp:

Riku runs away like the coward that he is and I'm left to figure out how to open a door with a Heartless Emblem on it.

I then begin to deal with The Library and the many puzzles that are in Hollow Bastion.

Well... that's what walkthroughs are for I suppose. ::S:

That was all I was able to do this time though.

    Next time:

More Hollow Bastion. Not sure what bosses I will or won't get to. We'll see. :dunno:

I didn't play more of the game. I'm officially announcing an extra "something" to this.

I'm really getting sick and tired of my opinion on EQG getting crap. It's not on here but I'm sick and tired of it. It's already out so this was bound to happen eventually.

    CHALLENGE ADDED.

I'm officially making it that I HAVE to beat the KH HD Remix games (1.5 AND 2.5) or I FORCE myself to watch Equestria Girls 3 (Equestria Girls: Friendship Games)

    HERE ARE THE RULES:

    1. Optional Bosses ARE NOT Required. I may ATTEMPT them but I don't HAVE to beat them.

    2. All I have to do is beat the game. I may attempt sidequests but if I'm unable to complete them for whatever reason, then they won't matter

    3. Basically... all I have to do is beat the game. On Normal difficulty.

    4. Re: Chain of Memories may be started over on a lesser difficulty if Normal proves ridiculous. Because that game is nonsense and ridiculous in difficulty by itself.

    5. KH 2.5 difficulties will be Normal.

    6. Birth By Sleep may also be started over on a lesser difficulty due to the fact that I've NEVER played it and have NO IDEA how to handle it. Normal will be the starting difficulty.

That's it. You may ask questions on the challenge if you have any.

CM Punk of the internet (apparently) out.
