This was the song theme I chose for my story, it felt as if it was better suited, and gave off that war feeling. _______________________________________________ This fic is about a war that was waged three centuries ago, it was a battle that caused the deaths of so many, yet the few that survived have rebuilt from what was left over. Everypony mourns the loss of Princess Celestia, but Luna is spared in that battle so long ago. Together with Twilight Sparkle, she helps bring the land of Equestria back together, picking up the pieces along the way. There's one thing that hasn't been taken care of, the ancient stone tablet that was the cause of this war, and Twilight sees it as a curse, and must be locked away and kept out of anypony's hooves or the talons of the griffins. Cassius is long thought deceased, but he remains alive, he managed to cheat death by Trixie's own magic spells. The spell that was cast upon him protected him but did not prevent injury to his pride. Determined to keep going, he seeks to trick Twilight into meeting with him by writing this letter: "Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, I write you this letter to inform you that the war has taken it's toll on our race, and we are without provisions with which we need to survive. We ask that you help us in our time of need, and send us help, we will be forever grateful for your assistance in these hard times. Signed, a loyal friend." Reading this makes Luna suspicious, could this be another trick or could it be real? But Twilight isn't so sure it's a trap, but a plea for help, and she can't turn anypony away like that when they desperately seek help. Luna makes sure Twilight is guarded as she travels to their town or city(as it's never stated which one, hence Luna's suspicions). This act alone sets events in motion that will start another war, one that might be the end of all living things.
