Not sure I could handle all that. I've done some with the girl amiibo but I SUCK at using charger weapons. To the point of hating them!! And my weapon of choice is the roller but it just doesn't sound appropriate for that kind of battle! Also, is there any way of getting a hero shot that performs like the one in story mode? I know you can get one with an amiibo but isn't it kinda sub-par by comparison?
Yeah, the upgrades don't ever carry over so your kinda, sorta stuck. No choice in the matter at all. The replica hero stuff is OK but identical to the standard weapons. Boring but they are flashier.
So, I tracked down the Squid Amiibo. Oh wow! A real mixed bag but probably the most fun challenges in the game. They actually mix things up, giving both enjoyable and tactical missions to try out. One type is a time trial mode BUT WITH INIFNATE KRACKEN INSTEAD OF A SQUID FORM! Just ploughing through everything like it was a crate, da-di-da. The bosses are fought like this too, all of them. Use your new invincibility to pick your moment and stike! The other mission type was a limited ink run. These weren't as enjpyable but interesting. They were excersises in efficency. What could you afford to shoot? The level with the invisible platforms and routes you have to shoot to show the way was the worst to get through. You either had to fire little bits to give a vague jist of where things were or you memorised where everything was, saving the ink for enemys which annoyed you the most. Very difficult mission. I liked this one the most, mainly as it wasn't just a straight retread of the kinda dull levels with a new weapon, which stops being special after the first boss you fight. Complete Amiibo set though.
I've foung that the best gun as far as fire rate and damage is the Aerospray RG. I use it for ranked battles instead of my roller which seems more suited for turf war.
If you want fire rate and damage, better choices are the splash/sploosh o matic or the splatlings. Aerosprays are generally trash outside of turf war, where they would excel due to how fast they ink turf.
The trick is finding shoes that raise your damage. It's easier to come by with headgear and clothes but having it on your shoes gives you that edge.
Perhaps, though you could use anything depending on playstyle. You could lean heavily on you're Special to gain advantages or launch bids of control over areas so anything that maximises how long you can keep firing or how effectively you can build your special bar could be mixed to use a Bazooka or Bomb Rush as often as possible.
I mainly prefer damage and swim speed for evading enemies. Now, if they came out with a carbon roller with seekers and inkstrike, I'd be in heaven!!
With the update, I think I've found my new baby!!! http://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/CoroCoro_Splat_Roller
Come at me, sweetie! I'm all charged up and I got a special ready. *looks down scope and smiles widely*
There are three damage up shoes, are you new to the game or have bad luck with gear showing up in the shop?
I tried out a new tact last I played: going Gatling Gun. I went with the Hyrda Splatling Gun and it worked very well. I was the back up and long range support of an entire team of far smaller powered teammates and able to cover a wide area. I could help keep a team very competitive without too much work. Very cool!
I'm actually really sad the next Splatfest will be the last. I'll be fighting hard for team Callie because I absolutely love her tentacle style and bubbly attitude!!
