I'm going to wait a few weeks before I buy Pokemon Moon. I have a sleep test coming up, and if my insurance doesn't fully cover it then my finances are going to get chewed up awful good. (I'm also going to need to replace my 2DS at some point, or at least do a system transfer to my second one. Three years of near constant usage have taken their toll on the system's circle pad, and now it still tries to interact with the device's programs even when it's not being moved around.) Looking forward to having that fire-type starter, though. I've always liked cats.
I'll be waiting at least a month before I start playing it. Because I feel safer playing video games with a walkthrough.
Hear, hear. Come to think of it, I completely forgot that guides are published for those games. I'll have to remember that.
BTW... For those that have a legitimate issue with me using Ash-Greninja in Sun... U MAD? Okay in all seriousness. Keep these things in mind: 1. I don't play online. Because the metagame gives me headaches and I don't really like the metagame anyway. 2. I probably won't actually start legitimately using Ash-Greninja until the rest of my pokemon/team is in the level 30 range because that's what level range Ash-Greninja is at. Happy now? No? *sighs*
Personally, I don't see the problem. I intend to use it once I get around to buying the Sun version, but like the Moon version that'll have to wait.
I beat it. Was pretty easy, but I still enjoyed it a bunch. @LostSanity: You won't even be able to use it until the second Grand Trial. That's when it will actually listen to you. No one has an issue with you making already one of the easiest Pokemon games easier.
Some of the stuff in there will have to take some getting used to, though. I know that much at least. What I'm thinking of, specifically, is the switch to moving the character around solely through the circle pad. Since said CP on my 2DS is going bonkers, I had to package it and send it on out to see if it could be fixed.
I actually have a question for those that have played it already. It's nothing spoiler related. It's gameplay related. Is the Experience Share the same as it was in X & Y? Where all pokemon in the party get experience from battles? Although I think technically the non-combatent Pokemon just get half the experience but still. The only reason I'm asking is I LOATH grinding and I don't want to spend HOURS grinding Pokemon.
All Pokemon receive XP while it's on, but it does seem to be lower than the Pokemon actually fighting. Grinding for EVs isn't terrible anymore either, since the power items give 8 EVs per kill, and SOS battles are stupidly easy to come by.
I'm pretty sure that's how it was in X/Y and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire as well anyway. But it's good to know. Thanks.
I just got started on Pokémon Sun for my backup 2DS, and went with Popplio (and named him Gear). Moon's going to be my primary game, though, and I'll get going on that after my next sleep test. By then, my main 2DS will have been returned to me. --EDITED 12/12/2016-- Progressing rather nicely in Sun. I just finished the 6th trial (which was a bit of a pain), and I'm currently on my way towards Team Skull's base of operations. Team is all in the mid-to-upper 30s, and is as follows: Primarina (Gear) Misdreavus (Shutters) Arcanine Alolan Persian (Adolphous) Sylveon (Milo) Tsareena (Bouncee, obtained through NPC trading) --EDITED 12/14/2016-- Team is in the low-to-mid 50s now. Aside from evolving Misdreavus, I haven't changed my team any. I'll save Solgaleo for post-game stuff. Currently on approach to the newly-founded Alolan League. Time to have some fun. >^_^<
So... I checked GameFAQs today. Since it's now been a full month since this game came out. I also checked the walkthrough that was complete. It seemed pretty 'complete' to me. The only thing really 'missing' was new areas that you unlock after you beat the game. I don't tend to play Pokemon games in post-game stuff so I honestly don't care about stuff like that. So I'll be printing that walkthrough and possibly starting Pokemon Sun once I'm done with Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice.
Been loving Pokemon Moon so far. I'm on the Grand Trial for the second island and I've been a bit... spend crazy on items and shopping to make my character look good. I swear, I'm a total girl at heart~ lol But anyway, I've been rocking it with my bread and butter type fire. Well, as far as starters go. I've been slowly building up a fairly solid team. Though I did get myself a really awesome grass type pokemon after completing the third trail of the second island. I've got my water and grass types covered for the Grand Trail. I got my water type early through Wingal, which is now a Pelliper. So yeah. Admitably the water and fire trails gave me some trouble. I actually failed the fire trail. Though I bounced back with a win the second time. I try to do my best and not fail to much. Admitably the fire trail was the first one I failed. I came close to failing the water one. I still don't know how I got out of that. Luck mostly I'm sure. Though on my rounds I did catch a Eevee on the second island and I might do something with it on my main belt or a second belt build when get to it.
No I actually aced the dance part. The Totem Pokemon wrecked my *squee!* on the first try against it.
Well, I aced the Pokemon League last night. No one defeated me, even against the Professor. I was in quite a pinch in the final battle but Incineroar pulled me out of it on the last two pokemon. Fire is my bread and butter for a reason, though Darkest Latiatat is quite a devastating move, especially when combined with Incinium Z. I actually breezed through the Ghost Trial with Incineroar alone merely using Darkest Latiatat. The ghost types petty much were my *squee!*. Also, I got Magearna through a QR code which can be only access after becoming champion. So yay~
Darkest Lariat, I believe. I've long since finished Sun, and I'm working my way through Moon (though admittedly not at as quick a pace). I intend to do some serious collecting and use Poke Pelago's facilities to the fullest once I finish Acerola's trial.
