I don’t know if anypony here even LIKES the Metroid games… But I will still try to start this thread! This is a place for discussion, (Oh wow! That was a cool/not cool area/weapon/enemy!) And help, (Darn! I can’t figure out/get through this area/puzzle/boss) I’ll start it off Discussion: I love the entire series and its story. I really like the new hyper mode, but I hate the suit that goes with it. Help: My disk is a bit scratched, and there is one door in Elysium that freezes my game if I try to open it. I don’t know if anypony will even continue this thread, so I’m not going into much detail other than it is past the part where you get the plasma beam. If anypony has gotten past this part, please try to help me figure out if I need to go through this door, or if it is only a sidequest.
i love the metroid series too, my favorite one is super metroid, then other m, and in 3rd place is fusion. (i finished all of the games) to get the plasma beam you must defeat one of the bounty hunters (the one in a giant robot, forgot his name) when you are going back to your ship and he is destroing it, it would help of you say wich door is it.
Hurray! Replies! First off, I already have the plasma beam. The part that my game freezes at… bear with me here. After you ride the lift into the other part of Elysium, you continue down the shaft that requires the screw attack to climb back up. After a room or two, I arrived at a room that shared identical design to a few others. It’s one of those rooms that has a small path to one side, a void in the center, and requires you to jump at an angle to the other side (It’s also filled with those annoying floating-ball enemies that explode). If I try to go through the door at the end, the game freezes. I’m going to try to clean the disk some more, but if the room is unimportant, I would like to just go around it. And as to favorites? Metroid Prime is my favorite. (Can’t speak for 3 yet. =P) I was disappointed in Echoes and Hunters, but I was pleasantly surprised at the nostalgia from Other M.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption <3 I played through the game entirely a while back, and if I remember correctly, you do have to go through that door in order to continue on. I'm not entirely sure, though. If any other pony would like to confirm this, please do. By a while back, I mean a little over a year ago.
I've played through it a few months ago. I beleive I know what door you mean and if I remember correctly, you have to go through it.
Well... Darn... I'll try cleaning the disk again, and if that does not work? Back to the store! Nothing can keep me from avenging the death of Rundus!
Bro, Not only was Rundus EPIC. (He skated through air with his ice-beam-thingy! "These space pirates are... Fragile...") But he died so horribly!!! He stabbed himself with a ten foot spike of his own ice! AND THEN his soul was claimed by an evil spirit of evil corruption! R.I.P. Rundus... oh wait... you can't cause your spirit was claimed by an evil spirit of evil corruption... darn... stinks to be you...
I'm currently playing corruption myself. I feel so stupid for not buying these games. A friend lend me his metroid prime trilogy to play. I finished Metroid prime 1 & 2 and I felt that I missed out on one of the coolest games from the gamecube. If another metroid comes out, its a certain buy. Other M was...somewhat of a disappointment but great overall. Favorite would have to be Metroid Prime. I hope to download metroid on the virtual console once I get the chance.
