Haha. But it's only about an hour if you fly.
I just flew back from Canada to San Jose yesterday, but i had to take three different flights to get there.
One of them was LA to San Fransisco, and that was only about an hour.
To fly to San Jose would take a little less time.

Have you ever cosplayed?

Yes! I was blessed to have been born in San Jose, California. It has a reasonably-sized convention center.
And they have Fanime, a fairly popular anime convention, every year.
They have popular Japanese artists (music or art), different anime in different theatres, karaoke, dance contests, music video contests, quizzes, cosplay meetings (everyone who's cosplaying for the same anime or video game gather and people take pictures of them all together), a giant dealer's hall with all kinds of anime merchandise, a gamer's hall with buttloads of video games, an artist's hall where people sell things that they've made, Masquerade (which is where people come up on a stage and do skits that they've put together usually pertaining to anime or video games), the Black and White Ball where cosplayers come and dance with other cosplayers (you must wear formal attire or they won't even let you in xD).

And i want to play the DS one, but i haven't yet.
I don't have too much money right now, and i'm saving for Fanime in the Spring.
I'm going to cosplay as Hope Estheim from Final Fantasy XXIII. :3

But that's because i don't have a PS2. I would totally play more, i just don't have access.
I only got passed the second world. Actually, not even. I couldn't beat Cerberus. ^^;;

Hmm, yeah that's true. I usually read them when I'm bored. =3=

But yeah, read the manga first or reviews to get a generalization of what the anime would be like. But for some reason with every anime I like the reviews are horrible. :T
