"No, this doesn't make sense. What would make her lose her memories? Clearly, she didn't lose all of them... she somehow recognized your cottage as a safe haven, Fluttershy... what did she do when she got here, again?" "She got sick and passed out. The poor thing... what happened to her...?" "I've looked at every book involving memory loss, but they're no good. I looked at memory spells, and the one that would probably be the most useful requires the pony whose doing the spell to know that memory as well." There was a pause. The green pony on the bed shuddered in her sleep. She rolled over. "I'll keep looking. She'll need to stay with you for now until we find out what happened to her parents. And she never talked to you about her life at home?" "Never. Whenever she came to help me with the animals, she didn't talk about herself at all." The unicorn and the pegasus looked at the green filly sadly for a moment. "I'll come by again tomorrow." Twilight said, lifting her satchel of books up from the nearby table. She trotted out. Angel hopped in and jumped onto the bed. "I just don't know, Angel..." Fluttershy said gloomily. "... I just don't know." Serenity was walking home. She turned to her house and walked inside. It was pitch black. "Mom and Dad must be out again," she thought. She flipped the light switch on. Two inches away from her was what looked like a demonic statue. It's teeth was barred, and it's arms curled around Serenity, it's sharp claw-like nails just brushing against the back of her neck. She felt sick. Her eyes flickered around the room, desperately trying to find a way out. Instead of a way out of the statues arms, however, she saw something else. A brown tail just disappearing out of sight. Then, there was a sudden flourish and a strange whirring noise. A brown pony with brown spiky hair had just leaped out from the hallway, holding a strange, glowing device in his mouth. The statue began to crack. "Come on!" he yelled. Serenity pushed with all her might to get away from the statue. One of it's arms crumbled to the floor. She galloped over to the brown pony, scared out of her wits. They watched together as the statue crumbled to a pile of dust. "That should buy us some time, now let's go!" the brown pony tugged at Serenity. She pulled away. "Where are my parents?" "Now's not the time. Speaking of time, we don't have a lot of it. Let's GO." the colt shoved her out of the door she had just entered not two minutes ago. "Go on, keep moving--" She slapped him. "WHERE ARE MY PARENTS?" He looked at her for a moment. "Somewhere in the past. The angels are feeding off of the energy of what they could have been, and what they could have done. It makes them stronger. Now can we PLEASE keep moving?" She didn't know why, but she believed him. They trotted off down the path through ponyville.
well done with the intro here, I'll admit it's confusing but I suppose it was written that way for a reason. I love Serenity's design.
