Not used excessively, I think it's a nice touch for colors like cyan and purple.

It's okay. I'm in the same boat as you, though I don't mind it. At this point, calling me female would be more of a complement than an insult. Anyway, that is funny though. Maybe it's because of the Fluttershy images. I don't blame him. I though you were female too at first, but when I saw your marked gender, I had a laugh to myself for being so silly. But it's up to you wither you accept it or not.
