I'm looking for something new to listen to while I play MMO's or work on school stuff. I have plenty of music to listen to, but there is a huge lack of podcasts in my life. I always hear about some, but never learned any names. So if you have any podcasts that you enjoy or heard good things about, post it bellow.
I really like the Drunken Peasants, hosted by The Amazing Atheist, his brother Scotty, and his friend Ben. I don't agree with everything they say, I just find them funny. If you check them out, beware of foul language. That way I don't get in trouble.
We had a podcast going for a while, but I don't know if that's been kept up. Perhaps if you poke BlazingDawn hard enough, he will figure out how to bring it back.
There are a few podcasts I listen to religiously: Geek's Guide to the Galaxy - which reviews Sci-fi and Fantasy books, games, movies, and interviews creators. Lightspeed Magazine - which presents readings of short stories, also Sci-fi/fantasy. Mission Log - If you like Star Trek, this is the podcast for you. They're going though each episode and pick it apart for morals, messages and meanings. Braving Babylon 5 - One man watching Babylon 5 for the first time and sharing his impressions, which are clear succinct and to the point. I also listen to a couple of podcasts for writers, but they're not that entertaining unless you're into writing fiction. - Writing Excuses, and The Odyssey Writing Workshop Podcast You could also check out my podcast It's like Mission Log, but with MLP.
I quite like How Did This Get Made?, a podcast discussing bad movies. Cox n' Crendor is very funny, especially if you follow their youtube channels. Co-Optional is a nice weekly gaming news and discussion show. Bronyville, if you're interested in the fandom. Fur What It's Worth, which discusses the furry fandom and has a whole segment about SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE. The Podquisition, hosted by the lovely Jim Sterling, with his co-hosts Laura K. and Miracle of Sound, which is another gaming podcast. And I'd recommend The Instance and Convert to Raid if you play WoW.
Huh... it occurs to me that I've heard the word "podcast" used thousands of times, and I still haven't bothered to find out what a podcast is.
I enjoy listening to the YOCS podcast (YourOCSucks). The guys have awesome banter back and forth and give some really helpful insight/tips on how to improve OC's submitted for critique.
An old roommate of mine used to be part of a podcast himself. I used to watch a bunch of podcasts, but right now the only one I still go back to the the Roosterteeth Podcast.
