I don't know how many here are fans of the GTA games, but i'll post this anyway. On 26th October, Rockstar Games announced GTA V on their homepage along with a countdown timer for the trailer. Well the countdown ended today and the trailer can be seen on their website: http://www.rockstargames.com/videos/video/8001 The setting seems to be San Andreas (although we only saw Los Santos). The main protagonist is unseen in the trailer, but his narration says he moved to San Andreas to start a peaceful life. There are lots of speculations saying that we'll play as Tommy Vercetti, the protagonist of GTA Vice City. I'm both, excited and a little disappointed. I'm excited for it because i'm a fan of the GTA franchise, but i'm a little disappointed because I didn't really like San Andreas that much. I would have preferred a completely new city. I was hoping it would've been set in some GTA version of Washington D.C or something. Whats everyponies opinion on this?
I never really enjoyed GTA for various reasons, but they are very well made games. I guess they're reusing San Andreas because of fan response? I don't know, but I'm sure it'll be great!
Might give this one a miss, I don't know. I didn't enjoy any of the GTA's except #4 because of the animations and other related things to be frank. I do admit GTA is a fun, relaxing game (because it requires very little brain power) that you can sandbox in for a while before you get too bored.
GTA Equestia should be the newest one... or at least GTA The World... Then we can go anywhere! :derpe:
Gta 5 is going to be awesome. I love the fan boy war between GTA and saints row. This will only heat that up again.
I loved GTA growing up, I remember it was the first sandbox game I'd ever played. I do recall beating both Vice City and San Andreas. I never got too into GTA4 for various unexplained reasons. Seeing San Andreas again will be a nice bit of nostalgia, I'd much rather revisit Vice City though, tbh. Regardless, I'll keep tabs on it and see if it's something that'll interest me.
The only GTA I've played was GTA IV. Yes I know that San Andreas was better, I just never had a chance to play it. But I really liked GTA IV, so I'm excited for V.
