If you read in my introduction, I am a game show fan; and among one of my fave shows is The Price is Right.

I love how it's fun to play along, how Bob Barker and now Drew Carey can really carry the show, and the announcers really put some pizzazz in the show!

Now, for an MLP twist on the thing.

Lately, I've imagined four of the mane six (less Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, Fluttershy being too quiet and Pinkie Pie being the exact opposite, both would make poor hosts, but good prize models) hosting TPiR.

I think Applejack would be the best host out of them all.

Here's how I see the four hosting styles:

AJ: "Alright, everypony. I want to talk to y'all about $30,000. Ya get a dollah, in one or two spins, and we'll give ya 5,000 big ones and a bonus spin. And in that spin, if yah land on either of the green sections, that's worth $10,000. But hit that dollah again, and we will give ya $25,000, which is some serious hay!" (pretty relaxed Southern style)

TwiSpark: "And you all know how we do this, everypony, we round off all our retail prices to the nearest dollar, so with that said, <contestant>, what do you say?" (just a stereotypical game show host)

Rarity: "Welcome back! George Gray, dahling, who will join us in contestant's row next?" (very refined, almost kinda like a British socialite)

RD: "Alright, everypony! Here's our showcase round! Ya know how we do it, we show you both showcases, and the one of you who comes closest to the actual retail price without going over, wins it!" (almost like a radio DJ)

Yeah, I know, random, but I love the show and MLP, so I thought about this crossover. :D

It was a pretty cool show when I watched it, although when I was very young, there was a game on there that scared the crap outta me. It was the one where a mountain climber went up a mountain and if he went over the side, there was this creepy yell/yodel scream....I hated that sound.....

@OP: I read the Ponies lines in their voice. I understand mixing two different franchises together, I do it all the time, so I like your randomness. But to be honest, I think Pinkie would be the best pony for the job. Her wackiness will be the most appealing. Although I would also like Jack's and Dash's as well. I would also like Flutter's cause I enjoy irony :). And her voice would seem cool as a host in some way. I watch TPIR at times, and it is one of my favorites. I like both Bob Barker & Drew Carey as hosts. Plus all those fine showcase girls! *drolls*

I love TPIR so I'm going to have to give it a read.

I haven't read it yet so please excuse me if the question is answered in the fic but what about Spike? He loves announcing things ala "Fall Weather Friends"

Maybe. In my world, I have Kyle Hebert tabbed as announcer, however. But Spike will make cameo appearances modeling the prizes.
