[Spoilers] Season 3 Episode 12 - Games Ponies Play I am like Brian, I am avoid spoilers, I just want to see Alicorn Twilight with my own eyes on TV. I am so proud of Twilight, regardless if the alicorn issue is controversial. Even though Twi is my second least favorite of the M6, I still like her a lot. (just that I love Jack, Pie, Shy, & Dash more). Also, Candance is best princess after Luna, sorry Celestia.
I never expected the father to be the one to pass on the rainbow mane and tail. Then again, it's possible the mother has it too. Now if only we could see one of Fluttershy's relatives.
This was a great episode, in my opinion. It tied into Just for Sidekicks brilliantly and it was awesome seeing the Crystal Empire again. I don't know what the name of the claustrophobic, country pony was (I'll call her chickenbutt. :3) but I really liked her for some reason. This episode also reminded me how freaking awesome the voice acting in this show is, especially Rarity. My favorite part was when she explained how Cadence's hair looked to Twilight. XD Speaking of Cadence and Twilight, I couldn't help but notice the tip she gave Twilight on how to calm down....in a particularly royal way. Foreshadowing, much?
I tend to avoid spoilers altogether and just watch the episode when it airs, so I had no idea that RD's father was even set to appear. Actually, I didn't know about the whole allicorn controversy until yesterday. What the hell kind of Brony am I? I feel so left out. Anyway, it's shame that he didn't have a bigger part (although I'm not the biggest Rainbow Dash fan anyway >.> .. please don't kill me). I loved the episode altogether, thought it was hilarious. It got me really excited about the season finale. But, honestly, all I care about is someone making a gif of sassy Twilight from the welcoming song. That has so much damn meme potential. Get on it now.
Todays episode was pretty good. I do have to say Pinkie was getting on my nerves a little her stuff wasn't even that funny just stupid. But I thought the episode was, as I said before, pretty good. I like how Rainbow Dash seemed to be the main character this episode (PS: Rainbow Dash is my fav) And when they crashed on the train I thought it was pretty funny too. Story wise I would say it was good aswell, not in my top 20 but still fun. It seems that season 3 episodes have been not as good as they were in the beginning of s3. It is a real shame, hopefully the finale will knock our socks off / 8/10
It was a fun cute little episode, glad were getting more comedic & laid-back episodes like this & Just for Sidekicks to help get us relaxed and in a good mood before the finale. Also, loved how Mustang Sally *apparently thats the name some fans are using for the pony the gals mistook for the games inspector* was claustrophobic, thats cute XD But yeah fun, cute, and very well animated episode, nice tie-in to Just for Sidekicks, and overall enjoyable, even if Pinkie was abit annoying at times. I give it a 5/5 a solid episode, and again is it just me or was this ep really well animated!? Or was it just all the extra shininess from the Crystal Empire that tricked my brain into thinking that!? XD. Edit: ALso loved seeing RD's dad in the Flashback!
I thought it was AWESOME (and not just because Dashie was at the forefront). I think it was cool how this one ran alongside the previous episode too. Dashie hitting the window was a pretty funny gag. That and Cadence's face when she saw the hair-don't.
Missed seeing it on TV cause I was at a meeting but just finished watching. I loved it. Brought back memories of my childhood as Atlanta was trying to win the 1996 Olympics and then we won it so I difinitely could share the joy of the end of the episode. Great tying in the previous episode too. These writers definitely know what they are doing. I have no fear that they will handle everything thrown at them very well. Was great seeing Pinkie's party cannon at work again. I would love to be welcomed to a new place like that. LOL So Crystal mud is like lime green Jell-O? Neat
Hmm, I think it would've been neat if this episode came before Just for Sidekicks, so we'd be wondering how Spike, the pets, and the CMC ended up under the seats.
It was good stuff! I'm also glad they involve the places they visit, instead of forgetting about them right after their initial episodes. Like... I'm glad the Crystal Empire wasn't just there for the opening to Season 3.
I loved this episode so much, even though I hoped for a Rarity episode. It still highlighted each character's unique traits pretty well, and had me laughing throughout it. The Crystal Empire was beautiful, and I found it really ironic that one of Princess Cadence's servant ponies was yellow, just like in the fanfiction I started writing just a few days ago. The only thing that was kind of a negative was the looming impression that this could be the last episode of Unicorn Twily.
Really liked this episode, was pretty funny too (my favorite would be Dashie hitting the window, or Pinkie being crazy as she always is xD). Also, yay for moar Crystal Empire, Cadance and Shining Armor. I also liked how it was connected to Spike's previous ep.
Yeah it was pretty funny. The links with the Spike episode would have been funnier if they were released the other way around I reckon though Just sayin but as always its good to see Cadence and shining armour they've been popping up way more than I thought after the wedding
