Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks!! [SPOILERS]

Honestly, I think I prefer the first movie. This one may have have improved animations and a more coherent plot, but I also found it much less entertaining. Most of the characters were flat and downright annoying, Twilight was more clueless than when she first visited the human world and Spike was downgraded to uselessness once more. And then there's Sunset Shimmer who is almost too nice now, it's almost eerie. So yeah, if you like seeing the main characters failing at practically everything until they finally realize that, hey, maybe they should work together as friends for once, now that's a new idea... well, you're in for a treat.
But hey, at least Sonata was funny and then there was Vinyl's impossibly cool car.
I'll give it 3 out of 3 "meh"s. It's okay, but nothing great.

 

So, is anything from THIS movie gonna affect the main show?

I don't just mean the Dazzlings, I mean the movie as a whole, is it gonna have an impact on the show?

 

I really doubt it, unless Sunset Shimmer (or even one of the other characters like human Pinkie) uses Twilight's new portal mirror to visit Ponyville in an episode or something like that. Though honestly, I'd be surprised if they even went so far as to show Twilight reading or writing into Sunset's book. Would be nice though, even just as a small continuity nod.

 

Seeing as how nothing from the first movie was even brought up or mentioned I don't see anything from Rainbow Rocks being brought up or even mentioned.

 

I'm familiar with pony Flash Sentry being in Season Four of MLP FiM but the Equestria Girls version is not.

 

Has a crush on Twilight though, just like in the movie. *shrugs*

I guess Sunset Shimmer will return in S5.

 

The movie wasn't that good,it was however better than the first one.

I loved this movie. When it was first announced I did not care for it. But I have to admit I think it is awesome and that I should really stop complaining about Equestria girls as I liked both movies to date. Also, I love Sunset Shimmer in this movie as well as loving the music, especially the songs sung by the sirens.

 

Just out of curiosity why is this posted under Episode Discussion both Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks and Equestria Girls are movies not episodes?

 

Because there is no movie discussion. Is it really that hard to figure out?

 

Not really I just feel like it should be under MLP Discussions that's all.

 

Just think of them as extra long episodes.

 

Anyway, I'm dissapointed in the Dazzlings being sirens. When the movie was first announced, it implied the Dazzlings were natives from Earth who were just regular bullies. That concept got me hooked, since seeing Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle deal with human bullies was interesting to me. Making them sirens just ruined it.
