I was thinking soft sounding techno would be fitting next to other music bronies would be making, but that's just me :D
Tomorrow's actually my last day of vacation, so I'll be ready when you are... and music wise, do you have any preference?
No, it's okay. If you didn't mean it that way, which I'm guessing you didn't— I mean, why would you, right? That's okay. It's just that I'm used to seeing it as meaning something negative, but from what I understand it can be used either way. That just surprised me, is all.
Well, I know it's supposed to be slang for American, but I've seen it used in pejorative contexts before, so... I think you can do the math. Or, as I think it is in British English... maths.
YES. I WISH I HAD ONE. British accents are my favourite besides Russian. I have a stupid Californian accent. No, i haven't! Hahaha. You can advertise your videos to me! I'd love to watch it! Link me? :3
So do we here. I just prefer the official term, which is Meteorologist. It sounds a lot cooler than "weatherman." Haha.
Well, that is a possibility if I want to. There's several options I can go for. I can be on-camera, or on the radio, or I can choose to work with an organization like the National Weather Service or some other public or private organization. I'm not entirely sure if I'd want to go the TV route or not since I think I'd be too camera shy. My university actually offers the opportunity to give video weather forecasts from a student-run weather service. Maybe I'll take up on the offer, but I'm not sure yet. I'm still kinda nervous about the idea of going on camera. Plus they sometimes upload their forecasts onto YouTube... F that! lol.
LUCKY. I have several friends in the UK. Y U NO CLOSER. Haha. Probably not such for songs about it. But you all have better accents than us! :D Though, all the songs about California are extremely ANNOYING. Except for Hotel California. That song is my jam. o3o
Yeah, that makes sense. In the video I made, there were a few minor slip-ups because I only recorded it once and it was 16 minutes and 25 seconds long. So I didn't even bother editing it. I wanted to get it out as soon as possible since it was for a weather event. Also, it was only my family that saw it, so it's not like some strangers were judging me. :P
No, I didn't notice at all. Why did you do that, if you don't mind me asking? Was it the phone? Because I've recorded messages of me talking on my iPhone that are over three minutes long. Actually, I recently recorded a video of me talking about Irene, and made a video forecast for it for some relatives of mine that was about 15 minutes long.
Yeah, it is weird sometimes, but that's the thing about weather. It can be beautiful and destructive at the same time. Thunderstorms are my personal favorite though. It sucks that the severe weather season around here is coming to an end. It normally runs from April 27th to September 5th. Hurricane season peaks on September 10th, and continues to be active (at least, based on climatology) through October, then winds down. Then the only interesting thing around where I live is the nor'easter season which begins in October and runs through April. That's when I can get a lot of rain (not much in the way of thunderstorms) and in the winter, a lot of snow. 3 hours? Why so long? Technical difficulties? A lot of editing? Or did you re-record multiple times because you were self-conscious? :P
That does sound pretty cool! I'm sure we could work something out. But I'm also curious, what should be the limitations of our podcast, like , is any sort of swearing allowed? I admit, i can have a bad tongue sometimes :x
I agree! But what should we generally talk about? I understand that we may talk about MLP quite a bit, but we should expand our horizons a bit as well :D
Yes, you certainly did! Good job. As for me, I spent a lot of my time watching Irene, but now that she's gone, not much. I did some homework earlier this evening, and now I'm on Everypony for a little bit. I'll probably be getting off soon to go to bed. It's 1 AM here. 6 AM where you are, right? What're you doing up? lol
