She was waiting for the elevator to her floor. "Lies." They reached it, and went to her door as she opened it and went inside.
"About 10 am," he said, going to sit down with a frown.
She chuckled. They went in the elevator, and started up. "You must have some."
He grabbed the crutches, turning back to her. "Here."
She laughed as they went inside. "That's what I'm saying."
He frowned, leaving the room with a sigh.
She grinned. "And ruin your reputation? I would never."
"Stop saying it's fine," he said stubbornly. "I'm telling you because it's true."
She looked up at him. "You came because you have a huge crush on me."
"You're calling it an effort like I'm saying it just to make you feel better."
She rolled her eyes playfully. "Exactly."
"Do you not believe me?" he asked, not unkindly.
She grinned. "I wanted it to be perfect for you."
He watched her thoughtfully. "I mean it."
She looked back at him as they started walking. "Thanks for the date."
He couldn't help but grin. "You're beautiful too."
She gave him a small smile. "Great."
He flushed, looking surprised. "What?"
"Free bird," she teased. "Let's go to my apartment, okay?"
