Abel was in his room fixing his tie and hair, which had been styled carefully. After a moment he sighed, looking at himself with a small frown...
She shrugged. "My parents just never took me anymore. I figured they had just grown distant."
It was a few days later. The night of the party. It was time for them to get ready.
"Eccentric, from what I remember," she said, closing and locking the door. "I haven't seen her in years."

He laughed. "Goodnight, O."
She opened the door, waiting for him. "Let's go."
He nodded. "I'm gonna get back to work."
She nodded, her expression bright. "Yeah. Get your bag and I'll look at the train tickets online."
He squinted thoughtfully. "I have to pick? Er.. Gray?"
"And you, right?" She picked up her bag. "Then we're ready?"
He grinned at her. "I'm glad."
She looked up at him, tilting her head as she did it back to him. "Did you get the snacks?"
She huffed, maybe looking a little self conscious. "I've never had the time."
He shrugged. "There are probably dress stores."
She glared at him. "They're meant for one of my cousins. They used to visit often."
He relented, dropping his arms. "You should go get a dress."
