She laughed, looking over at him. "Do we just.. knock on the door?"
"Once you lead them away how fast do you think you can shake them?"
Fleur squinted playfully. "That one? Oh, I don't know.."
"Right," he said easily, looking over at her. "You have to be careful."
She nodded hopefully. "Okay."
"I could put some lining here," he said thoughtfully, "and slide down once I'm done."
She looked up at him thoughtfully. "I think the windows up top open to let in air, if you wanted to try them."
They went to the other windows and Abel peered out of them with a small frown.
She laughed halfheartedly. "Yeah, I suppose that's true."
He started back. "Let's look."
She went quiet, saying nothing else.
"Mm," he murmured, clearly in though as he observed. "Are there any windows on the other side of the building?"
She sighed, watching him thoughtfully. Her expression was resigned as she nodded slightly, her voice quiet. "Okay."
He relaxed slightly, following her. "Oh."
"You don't have to take up the offer," she said, looking down with a small frown.
He flushed slightly, stepping back defensively. "What are you doing?"
She nodded slightly. "Yes..?"
He squinted out the window. "This will do well for line of sight. Let's look for exit routes."
"Yeah," she said, her tone turning sheepish. "You don't have to, of course, but.."
He looked up, tilting his head before opening the door.
