He grinned at her, brushing her hair back.
He looked thoughtful, before shaking his head. "Tiring."
He laughed slightly, putting an arm around her.
"I'm glad to be out of there."
He looked over at her, seeming confused. "What?"
"I'm not sad," he said. "I just want to get to where we need to be."
"You're welcome," he said easily, returning to his seat.
He squinted back at her. "Sad?"
"It's a book on plants. It can explain better than I can."
His voice was flat. "I figured we might."
He frowned, getting up and selecting a book from his cupboard on botany before giving it to her. "Read this."
"I just want to get to our destination," he said, frowning. "But if I'm seen there like how you see me, I have a feeling it won't be easy getting...
"No, I just.. Plants are so prevalent. More so than animals, in nature."
He raised his eyebrows, looking ahead despite seeming skeptical. "Alright."
He looked skeptical. "What..?"
"That's why I'm asking if you're okay," he said, his voice low.
