"It was tailored to his usual habitat. I thought he would like it." He hummed for a moment. "I'll have to ask Alex to help me make some adjustments."
She looked up at him. "You're so cute." *** He hugged her gently, resting his head on hers.
He shrugged. "He likes you."
She sat at the table with a yawn. *** He stood up, opening his arms to her. "It's okay."
He looked up at Anya. "What does that mean?"
She nodded. "Okay. I'll be here." *** He tilted his head. "I'm okay."
Basel looked a little confused. "Digit? Do you like that one?"
She leaned into his touch. "I love you too." *** He frowned. "Gwen.."
He looked around the room, squinting. "..Digit."
"I know," she said gently. "But I'd like to." *** "I'm okay, Gwen."
Basel looked thoughtful. "Maybe he doesn't like it. Maybe he wants something else?"
"It'll be like a dinner date," she told him. "Except out of tupperware." *** He kissed her cheek. "I know. I should have elaborated."
