She nodded. "The food should be here soon."

She whimpered, burying her face in his shoulder.

He nodded. "We'll talk about it. I'm sure it would be fine."
She looked up, the tears welling up in her eyes. "No, no, no."
"I'm sure." She took another sip. "Try it."
He nodded. "Sure, Adeline. You're doing a lot for us.'
She looked away, not wanting to betray her cool demeanor. "I'm fine."
"You're not going to become a rabbit. It'll be alright."
He nodded slowly. "Alright. We'll talk about it."
