Warner frowned. "Zad might seem stone cold sometimes, but he's not that harsh."
Her brows furrowed. "Can they fix it?"
"What do you mean?"
She looked panicked. "Isn't that, like... fatal?"
He frowned. "They're your friends, Addie."
She sat up immediately. "What?"
She looked up at him gently. "It's okay. How is it? Everything okay?"
"Sariel thinks you're special because he knows you. Zad does too."
She laid back, closing her eyes. "I'm okay.. Just tired. We cleaned up most of the wreckage."
He kissed her temple. "Special to me. Special to plenty of people."
She didn't seem to notice, going over to the bed and sitting on it tiredly. "Hey, Aug."
"I know, but from when you first came versus now.."
Aspen entered a moment later, a sigh escaping her.
Aspen wasn't there yet. He was alone.
"You worked for this."

"You're so talented."
She sighed with a frown, looking back at the wreckage as she began to clean up, her shoulders sagging.
He observed. "That's pretty cool."
She gave him a small smile. "I love you too."
