"I.. I don't like that I hurt you."
"Don't die," she said, shaking her head. "Don't die, August."
He said nothing for a moment, rather uncertain.
She shuddered, keeping her hand over the wound. "August.."
He seemed surprised. "You're hugging me. Why?"
"It's me," she said, tears pricking the corners of her eyes. "It's going to be okay."
He folded his arms. "I'm fine."
She took his helmet off gently, though clearly panicking as she tried to help, moving to put pressure on the wound. "August? August? It's Aspen....
"Adeline," he said slowly.
She dashed past him. She felt weightless, but ran as fast as she could.
He opened it curiously, saying nothing.
Her voice broke. "That was August!"
"Okay. I'll be here."
She bristled, her voice raising dangerously. "That was August!"
"Yeah, probably."
Her eyes narrowed. "He's dead..? How do you know?"
"I'm okay. I just don't think I should interrupt."
She jumped back, startled. Before looking at the people nervously. "We need to get back.."
"I should stay here."
Aspen seemed uncertain pulling out the knife and approaching the door.
