She yawned before getting up and getting dressed as well.
Warner stood. "Of course. It's not my first rodeo, anyways."
She shifted, stretching out as she remained where she was on the bed.
She pursed her lips, cleaning up the wound and patching him up. "Alright. Just clean it and make sure to change the bandages. It'll heal."
"Mm. Alright."
He stuck his tongue out at her. "So does dying."
She tapped between his eyebrows. "Just making sure."
Warner looked over at Addie. "What?"
She looked up. "Are you okay?"
They both seemed used to this. Warner started to pull out a cigarette casually. The woman looked up with a glare, stealing it out of his hand....
She settled back down, closing her eyes.
He sat at the table, lifting his shirt and removing the bandage. The doctor came in with her clipboard, beginning her check-up.
"By far," she said agreeably, kissing the corner of his mouth.
He rolled his eyes. "You wanted to come."
She flushed. "Once when I was a teenager. I prefer this, though."
"You can come in," he said easily.
She laughed slightly. "Yes, it was.'
The doctor stepped aside, allowing him in. "Do you want to stay out here and wait or come in?'
She sighed contentedly, her thumb grazing again his waist as she relaxed.
