"What's there to look at?"
She stretched out on her stomach beside him, her hands propping up her head.
He watched curiously. "What are you doing?"
She leaned over to kiss his cheek. "He's alright."
"They were wonderful."
She grinned, watching him adoringly. "It is. There's a bird on your head."
He blinked, huffing. "Hm.."
It flew up and perched on his head.
He sat contentedly, careful of the birds.
It gave a little hop, chirping in agreement.
He laughed brightly, spreading his wings so more could sit. "Birds! Birds!"
It tilted its head curiously.
"Birds! Everywhere!"
He turned its head toward him, chirping.
He took it gently in his hand.
She went quiet, seeming embarrassed. The bird stood in his hand, spreading its wings.
