She huffed, standing up and crossing the room silently.
"Of course. I never stopped."
"How many?"
He pulled away for a moment. "I do love you."
"It happened today. How many times has it happened before?"
He pulled her close, his hands light and fleeting.
"You don't know that."
He kissed her back immediately, not hesitating.
"What if it happens again and it's worse?"
He glanced at her, looking as if he were almost pouting. "No.."
He said nothing, watching the sheets with contemplation.
She looked over at him, her eyes observant. "Would you just.. please come earlier of it happens again?"
His frown deepened. "I.. That doesn't help. I'd rather have you now and.." he shook his head. "Leave if you want to."
She sighed, pulling away and sitting down. "I don't like that.."
"What do you mean?"
She finished up bandaging him, her brows furrowing. "You should have come back as soon as it happened."
He sighed tiredly. "Then what are you going to do?"
"I don't like to see you hurt," she said quietly.
He said nothing, a frown on his face.
She frowned, going to bandage it in silence.
