He said nothing, closing his eyes.
"My name Aspen," she said quietly. "He thinks I'm a hallucination."
He sighed, pulling her close again.
She waited, leaning against the wall.
She pulled away, going quiet.
He frowned, settling back uncomfortably.
She scooted closer, moving to touch his back. "I won't leave again."
He froze, sitting up. "What?"
She looked hurt, but knew he wouldn't tell. Though, her voice didn't betray her feelings. "Why..?"
He smiled slightly, pulling her close.
"I'll still be here," she said with a frown, sitting down. "You'll see."
He kissed her temple. "Sleep, baby.."
She nodded, kissing his cheek before starting out.
She seemed upset, her voice breaking slightly. "It really is me, August.. It-It's been a year. I came back. I came back.."
He turned his head slightly. "I'm glad to have you too, Addie."
She took it, standing quickly.
