She grinned, looking over at him. "What else should I add?"
"I'm just saying."
"There will be an event next week," he replied. "Highly formal. The Queen was wondering who would be attending, as everyone here is invited."
She blinked. "You did..?"
She looked back, giving it a smiley face.
"I like you more than the pancakes."
He said nothing, only watching her.
She frowned. "But how much?"
"I'm gonna mess it up."
She looked back at him, tilting her head slightly.
Zad's voice sounded. "Adeline."
"I don't know.. I'll have to get my job back so we can start for a house."
"A little bit."
She shrugged, looking back at the pancakes.
A bit later, Zad was in his office reading an envelope. He sighed, standing up and going to speak to his students.
She nodded, resting her head on his shoulder.
She pursed her lips. "Maybe I could add the background instead."
"Yeah. I prioritize you."
He nodded, heading out.
"Alright. I'm pretty patient."
