Her hands traced his waist before she sat up with a yawn.
He sighed, pulling her close.
She had set the sandwiches in the basket carefully.
He relaxed slightly. "Yes."
"For the most part," she teased.
He kissed her forehead.
She came over patting his shoulder lightly. "Have a sandwich! It'll make you feel better!"
"That's rough."
Her eyes fluttered as he kissed her and she grinned, reaching up to brush his jaw.
"I love you."
She looked over at Eli, her head tilting. "Are you okay?"
"Were you really expecting better?"
"Cause I wanted be near you," she said, matter-of-factly. "It seemed nice."
