She carefully slipped beside him, still half asleep as she wrapped her arms around him gently.
She plucked a single blade of grass. "It's so green here."
"You didn't do anything," he said, his voice rather flat before he disappeared.
Late in the night the house was silent. Avice crept slowly across the floor, opening his door carefully and curiously.
"Well.. What else does she eat?"
"It's fine. I'm going back to my office."
She gave a nod. "Tomorrow."
"Oh. Interesting. I wonder if umbrellas would work."
She brightened, keeping her voice low. "A rabbit?"
"It doesn't matter."
She followed tiredly.
"It's beautiful here," she murmured, observing as she followed.
"I had someone else."
She nodded, taking his hand.
