She smiled back at him. "That we did."
"Yeah, that one."
He pulled his wings back away from her, shifting.
"I am listening," she insisted. "I just.." she paused, frowning. "I kind of enjoyed doing this.."
She regained her composure. "I think that's it."
"The rainbow kind?"
Sariel had drifted back off into a light sleep, his face buried in the pillow.
She sighed, looking disappointed. "I am.."
She nodded, turning fix more flowers to hide the small flush on her face.
"I think I'll try something new."
He said nothing, watching her thoughtfully.
"But I want to come with.."
She picked up another planter, quiet before turning to him again. "Would you hang this for me?"
She gave him a smile, resting her head on her shoulder.
He nodded slowly. "That's good."
She looked slightly hurt, tilting her head at him. "What do you mean?"
She was quiet for a moment, watching him carefully before clearing her throat and turning away slightly. "Thank you."
She looked over at him. "I love you."
He pursed his lips. "Why do you say that?"
