She observed him, slipping an arm around his waist. "That was really nice of her."
She looked back, raising an eyebrow. "Race you."
She sat up, yawning. "August..?"
"It's nothing."
She looked up at him curiously. "You okay?"
She led the way, watching ahead thoughtfully.
Aspen woke up slowly, her hand coming up to rub her eye.
"Nothing."
She nodded, squeezing his hand. "It's perfect."
She nodded, clicking her tongue as the horse moved.

He crossed his arms.
"Ugh. Nevermind."
Her horse was white with black speckles it's back its back. She took the reins before hopping carefully.

She quietly turned her face into the pillow, a small, shaky sigh escaping her.
