Sam grinned down at her. "Does that hurt?"
"You know.. Tease and joke around. It's probably not appropriate at all times." She paused before squinting. "It has been used against me, after all."
"You just gained this strength," he said, his voice softening. "Trust me."
"You said it was. I'm taking your word."
He slammed his fists against the cage forcefully. "Stop!"
He pursed her lips, thinking. "I like my freedom. I like the ocean as well. I like to think of myself as adventurous and not unkind. I might tease.."
He gave a nod. "Alright. You need to rest a little bit first. A lot has happened this morning and you shouldn't overexert yourself."
"Of course you are. You make the food."
He pressed slowly, his gaze piercing. Sam stood in his cage, facing the spirit. "Stop this now!"
"Common, I suppose."
Warner rested a hand on her shoulder. "It'll be okay." Sariel, who was surprisingly stern, spoke again. "We have a couple of days at the least....
"Not with food. At least, not like you are."
Sam reached for the blade, pressing it against the base of her wing.
She looked over at him. "I don't come often because I'm not a very.. extravagant person."
He quieted, observing her.
