He pulled her close, kissing her temple.
She tilted her head. "You can say no."
"Oh, I had to feed Ker. He was getting hangry."
She looked up and laughed. "No, that's fine. It's just like.." she gestured to her face. "How you did that one time."
She looked back at him. "What can I say? I enjoy dancing."
He opened it, his hair full of dust. "Yeah?"
She nodded. "I did. Thank you, August. My bed was really comfortable."
"I suppose I could do the same. Unless you'd actually want to dance, which is optional."
Sariel followed, looking around curiously.
She rolled her eyes, going to sit at the table.
"I see.. So you're going to stand here by yourself then?" she said playfully, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.
He nodded. "Lead the way?"
"Good. Now quit teasing me."
She watched curiously before approaching subtley, standing nearby as she watched the party before speaking. "Not one for dancing?"
"I can only read yours."
She crossed her arms. "Yes, I am."
Avice watched, standing off to the side a bit.
