She brightened when he spoke to her. "Yeah. It's kinda boring here."
"But.. Why?"
"Even a little is okay."

She waved her hand. "Miko didn't even come. And.." she trailed off for a moment, obviously in thought. "Some of them aren't here any more."
"He said you couldn't be fixed."
She nodded. "Good."
"I'm responding to you."
"The city or the realm?"
"There's not much to do here.. We could head home, if you'd like?"
She frowned, going quiet again.
"I'm right," she murmured, resting her head on his shoulder. "Trust me."
"Get what?"
He glanced back. "Not very far at all! We're right on the edge."
