She gave him another quick kiss before pulling away, her eyes bright. "Now.. Cocoa?"
"You needed to be by yourself. I understand."
Francis took his plate to the sink, yawning.
A wide smile crossed her face as she watched him. "I love you."
"It's okay."
"That's.. okay. She can have some food later."
She buried her face in his shoulder. "I did not. I just said yes." She paused, looking up. "And also that I want cocoa."
She shook her head. "I'll be okay. Don't worry about it."
He blinked, watching her go."
"I would never, ever say that!"
"I'm a little shaken," she said honestly. "It was scary."
Francis seemed nervous. "Okay."
She rolled her eyes playfully. "I know what I said!'
She nodded, standing up somewhat shakily.
"If she wants."
"Always!"
She looked up, almost surprised. "Right. Yeah."
"She's not ready for the amazing flavors after I've been gone."
She relaxed finally, leaning into his touch as she sighed.
"It was just a bit scary, is all," she said, touching the small cut. "Little harm done."
