He poured her tea with a sigh, making himself coffee before joining her.
She laughed. "You don't like?"
Gabe hugged the dog, his eyes bright. "We should walk him to the coffee shop and get coffee!"
He started the fire, stretching his arms as he went back to the kettle.
"Tis just not true."
He grinned. "I'm glad."
He nodded, adding wood the fireplace.
"Twas a foolish choice."
He pet the dog with bright eyes. "Your gift isn't as good as this one, but it's under the tree. And theres more ice cream in the freezer."
"Unless you don't want to, then we could just use the blankets."
"This is only where it begins."
He looked up at her. "I love him. So much."
"In the fireplace?"
"Of my pun?"
He quickly kissed her before going to the dog, hugging him.
He turned, wrapping his arms around her. "We could start a fire. It has been rather cold lately."
She squinted at him. "I see.."
He didn't know whether to hug the dog first or her, so he sat still, his hand flapping excitedly. "Oh my god."
He brushed his hair back, starting the water on the stove. He got two cups out.
