Her expression became more serious. "Jack, stop that. It's really not funny."
"Me? You mean they'll be around me."
She blinked before laughing slightly. "That's not funny.."
He shrugged away. "I thought that I would just be able to fix myself." He shuddered. "Nothing worked. Maybe I'll see someone. I might."
Her eyes brightened at his awakeness, glad he seemed alright. "You're at the hospital.. You were in an accident and I was scared you weren't...
He was quiet, obviously deep in thought. "I.. I'm so sorry Poppy. I know I can't make it up to you but I'm sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me."
She shifted, her eyes fluttering before she sat up quickly. "Jack!"
"I don't either. It's like.. It was fine until it actually happened. Then I realized."
Avice had drifted off, her brows furrowed in worry.
He seemed uncertain, his voice oddly shaky when he spoke. "I don't know what to do Poppy."
Avice was with him, her head resting on the bed as she held his hand.
He didn't meet her gaze. "Yeah.."
