She nodded a little before taking his arm uncertainly, resting her temple against his upper arm.
“I was getting a little tired of the dark.” Puck squinted at him. “Why? Surely you’re used to it?”
She still looked anxiously up at him, her brow furrowing.
“At least it’s bright out here,” Ben said eventually.
Puck looked at it distastefully. Calliope would remember that he was not a fan of cold weather. Ben frowned as well and they began to walk.
She looked a little anxious. “I am... not a strong swimmer,” she admitted.
They approached the opening of the pass and a chilly winter wind blew through.
She looked intrigued, tilting her head as she looked over at him. “It’s aquatic? How will we get there?”

She looked over at the sword for a moment before she started walking.
Ben gestured for Puck to lead, folding his wings against his back.
She stood, pulling her cloak around her.
He nodded, pulling his bag onto his back. “Ready to go?”
She nodded, her ears tucking back. “Okay.”
When they arrived, Puck had packed all of their stuff, including Ben’s.
There was a pause and he would see her eyes flickering to his mouth for just a moment before she sat up, pulling away.
He looked over at her, kissing the top of her head as they approached the camp. “You make me happy too.”
She flushed, looking up at him curiously. “What’s, uh... what’s going on?”
“To be so dependent upon someone’s company,” he explained. “I should be able to function without someone, you know? Biologically.”
