She laughed a little, her fingers brushing the hem of his shirt unconsciously. "A classic combo."
He offered her the bouquet. "These are for you. Obviously."
She looked over at him before scooting over, resting her head on his chest. "What about you?"
He was standing there, holding flowers for her. His face brightened. "Hi!"
She looked over at him. "You," she replied with a small shrug. "Mostly. And the mission."
That night, there was a soft knock on her apartment door.
She finished her food quickly before lying back on the bed, looking at the ceiling thoughtfully.

She reached up with her free hand, caressing his face gently, her thumb brushing his lips as she leaned back against him.
He watched her leave, his eyes soft. "See you tonight."
She laughed to push away her embarrassment, looking up at him. "Don't kiss me with your burrito mouth," she teased.
He kissed her forehead. "I missed you too. I'm glad we can see each other again."
She laughed a little, looking up at him as she munched on a tortilla chip. "I'm home when I'm with you," she said, her face eager and honest...
"See you tonight," he confirmed. "Thank you for today. It was wonderful."
She nodded slowly, looking up at him. "That's true... we could build a bedframe tomorrow..."
He watched her, his eyes narrowed appreciatively. "I love you," he told her.
She looked over at him, kissing his cheek before leaning back against his chest. "What should we do next?"
He watched her for a second, one brow raised. "Are you? What if I want it back?"
She opened the bag, offering him his food while planting a kiss on his chest. "I am."
He pulled on a shirt, glancing back at her as she entered. "Hello."
