He laughed a little in embarrassment. "Huh. I guess you do. Sorry."
She looked up at him, frowning. "What do you mean? Of course you can."
He frowned too, looking away from her. "Okay. I'm Ferris."
She exhaled, her shoulders slumping. "Will you wake me up before you kill me?" she asked, moving to lie on her side.
He frowned at her, his brow furrowing. "...what's your name?"
"It's not your job to comfort me or to make me feel better," she replied. "I just... are you remembering anything? Why didn't you kill me back there?"
His face changed with realization. "Oh... but... I don't know who you are."
She pulled her knees closer to her, saying nothing for a moment. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm sad. I really miss you."
He looked relieved, closing his eyes. "Okay. Okay. What did we have, then?"
She laughed a little, looking up at him. "Abes, you're the one who is experiencing all this. You don't need to apologize."
