"Ah, you're a genius," she said easily, looking back down out the window. "I'll be the busiest person at the party."
He had dozed in and out during the trip, but as they arrived, he awoke fully. "...Princess?"
She tipped her head back to look up at him. "Because I can't hold a fancy conversation to save my life."
He blinked, looking over at her. He reached over and brushed the hair out of her face gently, tucking it behind her ear before settling back in...

She laughed in surprise, looking over at him, tucking her hair behind her ear. "Me? No, Abel, not everyone is like you."
"Do you want to sleep? You woke up early."
"To my siblings?" She shrugged slightly, looking out the window again. "I suppose. We were close."
"Why do your parents not talk to her?"
She shook her head slowly. "No. I'm the middle baby. I have an older sister and a younger brother."
He looked over at her. "Is your grandfather still alive?"
She gave him a small, grateful smile, but shook her head, leaning back in her seat. "There were other things. Other reasons why I had to leave....
He laughed deeply, sitting in one of the spots. "I know, Princess. It's a good thing."
