“That’s not your name,” he replied, raising one eyebrow. “Your name is Mallory.”

She laughed deeply at this response. “I don’t know. Books on magic, maybe.”
“Don’t worry, Mallory. Everything is fine.”
He reached out to her, squeezing her hand. “I don’t know what I’d do without you,” he said honestly. “Seriously.”
“Books, probably. I don’t know though. I don’t know if I’ll find any.”
He seemed relieved that she was talking again, glancing over at her. “I figured.”
