“I got excited. I’m sorry.”
“Do you want me to go?”
“Right,” she replied, changing the subject. “What do I do next?”
His face fell, but he nodded. “Oh. Alright.”
She flushed even deeper for a moment before nodding slowly. “...right.”
He came back over to her a while later. "It looks good. Now what?"
She flushed, looking embarrassed. "We, uh... we didn't think you knew. Well, that's not true. Warner thought you knew."
He stuck his head in, investigating.
She looked up at him with a start and then winced from the pang in her head. "How do you know that?"
"I'll keep inspecting it. It's a little rusty."
She yawned, nodding slightly. "I feel badly for Warner. I keep falling asleep so early because of training," she said with a small laugh.
He considered the machinery for a moment before going in. "We don't really have engines downstairs."
"I'm actually okay, though," she complained, wobbling dangerously as she tried to steady herself. "My head just hurts..."
She nodded slightly, still wobbling and leaning against him for support. "Is there anything else you can teach me?"
She huffed, looking disappointed but still quite dizzy. "That's annoying."
"It looks good. How can I tell?"
He nodded, going over to look.
"I'm really okay. How can I make it bigger?"
He watched her carefully. "Can I help?"
"I'm okay," she said, shaking her head slowly, but holding onto him to keep herself from falling. "I'm alright."
