He followed soon after.
She paused for a second, glancing at him out of the corner of her eyes. "Because you're scared of him?"
"Mmhm," he mumbled, closing his eyes.
She pursed her lips, frowning. "Was I in the wrong, do you think? Be honest."
"You can come to the bed."
She nodded slowly. "He was really mad, wasn't he?"
"Do you want to sleep?"
She was quiet for a moment. "I was hard on him."
"Aren't you tired, though?"
She took a deep breath. "I don't understand why he won't just fight me."
"Will you stay here or do you need to go home?"
She shook her head slowly, burying her face in his neck. "I'm so... God. I'm sorry I'm being like this."
He sighed. "A couple hours too long, am I right?"
She exhaled shakily, resting her head on his shoulder. "The angels thought wrong," she replied quietly. "Something is really wrong here."
He informed her that it would be a couple of hours.
She looked up at him suddenly and he would see that there were tears in her eyes. "Yeah, Warns, but if I can't take Zad, I sure as *squee!* can't...
