She frowned, coming over to him and kissing him. “I love you.”
He sighed, leaning into her touch despite himself. “Oh well.”
She frowned, looking nervous.. “Warner...”
“I do?” he asked curiously.
“Please, Warner,” she said. “I won’t sleep unless you go see a medic.”
He frowned, turning to her. “So many what?”
She frowned, sitting on the edge of the bed slowly. “Will you go see a medic?”
He pulled off his shirt and she would see an array of scars on his back, some fresher than others.
“Not like you did,” she said worriedly. “I don’t need to sleep.”
He sighed, shaking his head before going to his drawers, pulling out a shirt.
“Me? Why?”
He looked confused. “To get dressed...?”
She sighed, rubbing his back slowly. “Are you tired? Do you need to sleep?”
He set the bird on his shoulder, slipping out of bed.
She frowned, looking up at him and kissing his cheek. “I love you,” she told him sternly. “You need to be careful.”
He sighed, sitting up slowly.
“Just a little,” she agreed, turning back to Warner. Her hand brushed over the wound, her brow furrowed. “Are you sure you’re going to be okay?”
“No,” he agreed. “You can’t.”
She looked uncertain, looking at Sariel. “I think so.”
