"Just on the patrols," Alma, a girl originally from the Pillagers said worriedly. "Just like he always does."
She kissed him again, a little deeper this time, before pulling away, a worried look on her face. "Maybe I should check on Zad..."
Late that evening, August had not returned. The members of the Fort appeared to be getting a little nervous, whispering to each other.
She kissed his jaw lightly. "Do you want to? We only woke up about an hour ago."

"I will," he promised, brushing her hair back before leaving the room.
"Yes," she agreed, leaning over and kissing his jaw as they entered his room. "Bathtime?"

They got out of the medic and Addie relaxed, squeezing his hand. "Thank you, Warner."
